In many ways, the Gundam Wing fandom helped to shape me as a writer. I came into it in early 2001, in its high point. On the gw-fan ML, dozens of fics were posted each week. The sheer variety was staggering for me: there were not only the usual character - romance - deathfic ones, but the most improbable crossovers and alternate universes one could think of. I was already a firm fan of X/Tokyo Babylon by Clamp, and recently recovered from a certain shock that came with an X installment in late 2000. I wrote the first three chapters of Gundam Babylon in an almost-daze, and posted them with true trepidation to what I deemed a pretty friendly ML. They liked it, which staggered me.
I haven't really written any Gundam Wing since mid-2001, so this section is pretty much dead now. I might write the last chapters of Gundam Babylon, just to get it over with, but that's no certainity. I still remember the fandom and the fans with fondness. Hey, it has my first hydra-headed multipart overly dramatic saga and my first "write a fic to get rid of a feeling" stories!

The Gundam pilots have to go to school -- and they choose the Clamp Academy, just before Subaru and Seishirou's bet is up. While Subaru finds a surprising confidant in Heero, Duo Maxwell's having strage talks with the Sakurazukamori, and the Clamp Academy student government has its own problems.
Status: This is my saga, and it's still unfinished... about 3 more parts left to go. On hiatus.
